Essential to the role
3 capabilities. A level belongs to the skill, not to the person — and a missing record is not a claim that someone lacks the skill.
The whole job is the draft.
L2 looks like this: You write a long-form piece that answers its reader's questions in order, with sources a reader can check for themselves.
You work from briefs and push back on the weak ones.
L1 looks like this: You can turn a target query into a brief with an audience, an angle and the questions to answer.
Your own work has to be publishable when you hand it over.
L1 looks like this: You can correct grammar, spelling and house style in a draft without changing what it says.
Desirable
Worth holding, but the role can be done without them.
L1 looks like this: You can tell a navigational query from a commercial or informational one, and say why it belongs there.
L1 looks like this: You can point to the parts of a page that a search engine uses to decide what it is about.
